Elena Hurtado:
DESIGN AND SUSTAINABILITY: VERSATILE AND ATTRACTIVE GARMENTS, DESIGNED TO OVERCOME THE RELENTLESS PACE OF THE SEASONS.
My first encounter with fashion design was in 2003 and since 2006 I have been exhibiting my creations in the Obi Formentera shop.
The daily life in a rural Mediterranean environment surrounded by nature, has strongly marked the direction and sense of the creations of the brand. I have always considered important in my work the durability of the garments, thought and made to be used for a long time.
My source of inspiration are the fabrics, the combination between them and their prints, and I make my collections with stock fabrics, the best fibres produced in Italy. It is a unique and unrepeatable material that comes to life in the small editions of the garments. Reusing and taking advantage of what already exists makes the collections timeless and exclusive series.
Since I was a child I loved to look at my mother's and grandmother's wardrobeThat's why the Shirtmaker dress and the crossover robe are the basis of my creations: comfortable clothes born from simplicity.
An extremely modern handcrafted work that seeks to explore the concept of Slow Fashion to its ultimate consequences.

Mi fuente de inspiracion son los tejidos, la combinacion entre ellos y sus estampados.Realizo mis colecciones con tejidos de stock, las mejores fibras producidas en Italia. Es material unico y irrepetible que toma vida en las pequeñas ediciones de las prendas. Reutilizar y aprovechar lo existente convierte las colecciones en series atemporales y exclusivas.
